The Creation Station Celebrates 10 Years of Inspiring Children's Imaginations

The Creation Station celebrated 10 years of inspiring children’s imaginations at their national conference on 23rd June 2012 at Loughborough University. Since 2002 over 64,000 children, families and organisations have been inspired with the UK’s leading children’s art and craft activity business. With over 60 franchises operating across the UK The Creation Station is on track to be the household name for children’s creative experiences.

Sarah Cressall Founder of The Creation Station, recently awarded the title of The Best Female Franchisor in the UK stated “It is wonderful to be supporting families and organisations with art and crafts experiences right across the UK” states Sarah Cressall “I started the business around the kitchen table to meet this gap in the market but also to have a rewarding, flexible career around my own three boys. It’s wonderful to be supporting other mums with the opportunity to run their own flexible and family friendly franchise.”

The Franchise is designed so that the franchise owner can drop their child or children at school prior to running their classes, or they can take their pre-school children along to their classes. The benefits of running the franchise have resulted in The Creation Station being the fastest growing children’s activity franchise in the UK. As a result, the ‘2012 National Inspiring Imaginations’ Awards included the highest number of Franchise owners achieving an award.

The Creation Station Franchise Owner of the Year 2012 was awarded to Amrit Bedi who runs The Creation Station franchise in Glasgow, “I am delighted to have received such a prestigious award” said Amrit Bedi, mum to three “I know there are many talented franchisees out there so it’s a great honour to receive this award. I love running my children’s art and craft classes and birthday parties, so this is the icing on cake ” New Franchise Owner of the Year was awarded to Louise Platt, who runs The Creation Station Franchise in Bedfordshire. Highly commended Franchise owners included Neela Jackson from Manchester, Melanie Dawson from Wimbledon and Aby Mason from Littlehampton.

As well as recognising significant achievements, the conference is also designed to provide franchise owners not only practical skills and opportunities to further develop and grow their business, but also an opportunity to develop their own personal skills. The keynote speaker for the conference was Nikki Owen, the UK’s leading expert on Charisma. Nikki Owen received a standing ovation for her informative and powerful presentation.
