Home Instead ranks number 83 in Top 100 Best Small Companies list

12 March 2018

We’re thrilled to announce that we have made it into the Sunday Times Best Small Companies list 2018!

Home Instead’s National Office and its pilot office in Northwich took part in this year’s Best Companies survey, and we’re delighted to announce we have ranked as 83.

The much-celebrated list is highly fought over and features top businesses from across the UK. The views of thousands of workers are taken into account through extensive employee satisfaction surveys.

96% of people surveyed agreed: “I believe I can make a valuable contribution to the success of this organisation”

The ranking follows on from the receipt of a 2-star accreditation in the annual Best Companies survey.

Our national office in Warrington supports more than 195 franchise offices across the country to deliver companionship-based home care. A 52-strong team of experts support the network of offices in areas spanning business performance, training and development, care quality, IT, finance, legal and marketing.

Martin Jones, managing director of Home Instead Senior Care, said: “To be placed in the Sunday Times Top 100 list as number 83 is a huge honour and testament to the strong family culture we have created right from the beginning.

“I’m so proud to see that our employees value the culture and feel they have the right support, training and environment to be able to do a fantastic job.”

National office has seen rapid growth in the last six months with various new positions created. These roles, from appointing Karen Dakin as Head of People and Rob Tovey as Head of Quality, will help to provide even better support to the franchise network of offices.

Home Instead’s mission is to be an employer of choice. To support this, we offer an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), managed by Life & Progress to offer confidential support on a range of issues which could affect health and wellbeing.

The business has a culture of supporting personal development and offers an extensive range of leadership and operational training workshops, access to online resources, team away days and the opportunity to take part in a volunteering programme.

The listing follows on from the company being recognised by smith+henderson as “Best Employer in Care” for the second consecutive year. It was also named the UK’s number one franchise in the Elite Franchise 100 and holds the Queen’s Award for Innovation, the highest accolade available to UK businesses.

There are 120 territories available with Home Instead Senior Care including 4 territory resales.
