Business Doctors help Guide Bridge MOT win Business of the Year

15 July 2014

A family run car service centre proudly won the prestigious Business of the Year award at the ‘Pride of Tameside Business Awards' recently.

Guide Bridge MOT and Service Centre in Ashton took the top award in a glittering ceremony, accompanied by their adviser Business Doctor, Dave Blakey.

Jan Lord, head of business development at Guide Bridge, and wife of owner Derek Lord, was delighted to be recognised. ‘As a family-run business we need to create a strong foundation so our family can continue to grow the business when we finally retire,' she commented.

‘I believe we are honest, reliable and treat our customers as kings. Our customer service is exemplary and I want people everywhere to talk about how good we are. That is how we'll grow the business,' she added.

‘The Business Doctors provide that crucial third eye and took an objective view to help guide us and develop our growth strategy. We now know where we are going and this award is fantastic recognition.'

Dave Blakey of Business Doctors commented, ‘Guide Bridge is a special company. They are doing so many good things and we simply helped put them in the right direction. It does not surprise me they have now been recognised for excellence, and I am very proud of them all.'
