Surrey businesswoman hoping to clean up with eco-friendly housekeeping franchise

03 July 2015

Former retail guru Caroline Campbell is set to clean up the homes of Staines, Egham, Chertsey, Virginia Water and their surrounds with the launch of her own eco-friendly domestic cleaning and home care franchise business, Bright & Beautiful

Caroline, who has lived in Chertsey for 15 years, is leaving behind a career of 30 years working for and heading up operations for major national retailers, from Mothercare and Woolworths to Jessops. Her most recent role was head of operations for Clintons, managing a budget of £34million and providing operational direction and support to 400 shops and over 3500 staff.

Now Caroline will be leaving behind the big brands and global travel to set up her own business managing a team of local cleaners to deliver ethical, professional and eco-friendly housekeeping services that include cleaning, tidying and laundry.

Unlike many housekeeping and cleaning firms, Caroline will only be using eco-friendly and natural products to clean her houses, something that has become increasingly popular with the growth of allergies and concerns about toxic products in the home.  Caroline is also looking forward to creating a number of local jobs in the area and to becoming more connected with the community where she has lived since 2000.

Caroline says: “I’ve always loved living in Chertsey but have had to work away a lot for the past 15 years. This year I decided to take the plunge and launch my own business that would let me bring a great service and new jobs to the community that I love.

“Like many women I’ve spent years balancing home and work and I’ve always taken a great deal of pride in keeping my house looking great which is why launching Bright & Beautiful was the perfect business for me.  We only use eco-friendly products that clean and nourish furniture and surfaces but won’t cause allergies, something that is increasingly important to many people.

“ I’m really looking forward to building the business in Staines, Chertsey and other local towns, to employing other women and to giving local families their hugely important leisure time back by taking on all of those cleaning, tidying and ironing jobs that eat into their free time and weekends.”

Bright & Beautiful is an award-winning business model that was founded by entrepreneur Rachel Ray in 2007.  A busy working mum herself, Rachel spotted a gap in the market for a domestic cleaning company that provided full fair employment rights for its team, non-toxic cleaning products and an exceptional housekeeping service for its clients. Since then the business has grown from strength to strength with franchisees around the UK employing carefully vetted professional housekeepers and servicing thousands of clients.
