Working mums give family friendly work model the thumbs up

The six new Bright & Beautiful businesses will be run by women from a range of professional backgrounds including working women and mums.

The new franchisees, pictured here with Bright & Beautiful MD and founder Rachel Ray and the head office team are:

- Freya Hudson, a former 6th form school mistress at a boarding school, running the Tunbridge Wells business
- Antonia Baron, formerly a manager at the Co-operative Bank, covering Bramhall in Cheshire
- Karen Campbell, a former procurement manager, also covering Bramhall in partnership with Antonia.
- Amanda Kinghorn, former HR manager at Morgan Stanley, running the Brentwood franchise
- Kristina Wood, former sister in an Oncology/Chemo ward, running the Yeovil franchise
- Catherine Willhoft, formerly a pharmaceutical researcher, running the Maidenhead franchise
- Suzie Milner, owner of a swim school running the Solihull franchise.

Since launching in 2007, Bright and Beautiful has taken the housekeeping industry by storm with a radical, ethical and eco-friendly approach to business that is designed to support women and their families in the UK and overseas.

Rachel Ray MD of Bright & Beautiful says, "2012 has been another amazing year for Bright & Beautiful and we’re so pleased to welcome another six ladies to our business. We are seeing more and more women who want a career but who are not prepared to sacrifice their family for the sake of their job. The fact that they can earn a good salary running a Bright & Beautiful franchise, manage their own team of professional housekeepers and be there for their children after school is what really appeals to people.

“Our clients also tell us that we provide a higher quality service than other cleaning companies and our eco-friendly, ethical and professional approach really helps us to stand out when the new franchises launch in their area.

Bright & Beautiful offers an award-winning and rapidly expanding ethical service that delivers eco-friendly cleaning, tidying, laundry and ironing and receives glowing testimonials from franchise owners and clients alike.

Bright & Beautiful founder director Rachel Ray was inspired to set up the company after having worked in international business consultancy for 15 years.  Following a career break to have her two children Rachel wanted to pursue a career that would enable her to combine work and family.  The Bright and Beautiful vision is focused on supporting and empowering women; franchise owners who have a business which can earn a great income but fit within school hours; clients who need their homes managed; teams who have fair employment rights and a great working environment and impoverished families that they sponsor overseas.
