DENVER – Whitechapel residents have reason to celebrate. Quiznos, one of the world’s premier quick service restaurant (QSR) chains and pioneer of the toasted sandwich has partnered with Quiznos UK to open its first restaurant in Whitechapel. The Grand Opening was February 20 at the new Quiznos Aldgate East Tube Station location. Quiznos UK led by Mr. Jack Rai plans to open 10 more Quiznos restaurants in 2014.

Jack Rai said “Partnering with Quiznos was an easy decision for us because of its recent successes in other countries and our knowledge of the British consumer. We’re excited to make these premium toasted sandwiches more accessible in the U.K. It’s a winning combination.”

Grand Opening events on February 20 included a private Quiznos tasting for media and a ribbon cutting ceremony at the restaurant.

Expansion in the United Kingdom is part of Quiznos continued international development plan to open more than 1,000 international stores in more than 40 countries by 2020.
