Mr Electric Birmingham raises £1,300 for Ronald McDonald house

26 June 2014

Mr. Electric franchise owner, Jeff Longley from Birmingham North raised the fantastic amount of £1,300 for Ronald McDonald House, from a fundraising night at Hall Green Greyhound Stadium.

The house is situated at Birmingham’s Children's Hospital and is one of the largest purpose built accommodation facilities. It provides accommodation for families while their children are being cared for at the hospital, offering them not just a place to sleep but also somewhere to share their experiences of the day and receive support.

The house was opened in November 2009; however the fundraising continues to cover the ongoing costs of running the house. Mr. Electric has been committed to raising money for Ronald McDonald House Charities for many years and Mr. Sparky the company mascot is a firm favourite with the children.

Jeff explained, “We are really behind the Ronald McDonald House Charity and it is great to think we are helping to support this much needed house which does so much for local families at what is a very worrying time. Of course the night at the dogs was lots of fun, with everyone learning the basics of betting and we really enjoyed handing over the cheque to the team at RM house in Birmingham.”

In the UK, Mr. Electric has established itself as the go-to outfit for all areas of electrical contracting.

A Mr. Electric franchise is a management franchise which makes it a great opportunity for anyone with or without electrical experience. Franchisees supply contractors for all aspects of commercial and domestic electrical servicing and maintenance work.
