Mac Tools welcomes two new franchisees to run the Portadown and Omagh territories in Ireland. John and Stephen McKnight, a father and son from Whitecross launched their respective territories at the end of May following extensive training at the Mac Tools facilities.
Mac Tools is part of Stanley Black & Decker, an $11+ billion global organisation employing over 30,000 people worldwide and owner of the world famous Stanley Black & Decker, Facom, Britool Expert and DeWalt brands. Their product range consists of over 8,000 professional tools including screwdrivers, ratchets, wrenches, and assorted air tools, as well as its own toolboxes.
John McKnight has previously worked as a haulage contractor for 22 years so is well experienced with life on the open road visiting customers and meeting new people. Having also spent 10 years as a pub landlord, John has excellent people skills that will be of huge value when dealing with his customers every day.

Stephen’s former job role as a truck driver and company secretary for 5 years allowed him to travel to America, New Zealand, Australia, and Canada as well as around the UK. With prior experience as a carpenter, Stephen has used a variety of tools before but still found the Mac Tools training very helpful at their Mac ‘Tool School’ in Ohio, USA.
Mac Tools franchisees are trusted distributors of what many consider to be the best quality tools on the market for customers such as car dealerships, automotive repair shops, manufacturing units, and engineering companies.
