Mac Tools Show of Success

14 October 2016

Mac Tools recently attended The National Franchise Exhibition in Birmingham where they spoke to many people looking to change their futures and enjoy a better lifestyle. The Mac Tools team was pleased to meet so many people who were interested in taking the driver’s seat and becoming part of the Mac Tools team.

“Every year, it’s great to meet so many people who are looking into new opportunities. We always look forward to exhibitions and helping people take their first steps towards successful business ownership. Exhibitions are a great chance to see and experience all the different franchising formats and are an informal way to gain more information about those that interest you. We always try to take franchisees along with us because we know that they are the best people to give more insights about the day-to-day activities of running a Mac Tools franchise,” explains Maria Batchvarova, Brand Marketing Executive A&I.

At the exhibition, not only were attendees able to talk to the team from Head Office, they were also given the chance to meet franchisees who are running successful businesses. Jamie Houston, Mac Tools Stourbridge, is just one example of a Mac Tools success story.

Jamie, an ex-mechanic, wanted to start his own business and joined Mac Tools in 2015 after meeting the team at The Franchise Show. One year later he was on the other side, sharing stories of his success with potential candidates.

“Mac Tools was the ideal choice for me because I know what the customers want and understand the technical terms of the jobs. Because I have been in the motor industry all my working life, my existing knowledge enables me to give advice. I can identify the tools they need to meet their requirements and I can see if I can sell them something to make their lives easier,” explains Jamie.

Not all franchisees have initial knowledge of the range of tools. That’s why Mac Tools recognises the importance of offering comprehensive training for franchisees. Although Jamie has an extensive knowledge in the area, he attends regular training from Mac Tools in order to be up-to-date with the latest innovations brought into the market.

Mac Tools is part of Stanley Black & Decker, the world’s largest hand and power tools manufacturer, a $12 billion global organisation. The company is a full member of the British Franchise Association (bfa) and offers a combination of a tool franchise and a van franchise. Franchisees are trusted distributors of what are considered to be the best quality tools on the market to customers such as car dealerships, automotive repair shops, manufacturing units and engineering companies.
