Mac Tools Round Off the Year with an Award Shortlisting

26 October 2016

Mac Tools franchisee, Gary Teasdale, has been shortlisted for Franchisee of the Year in this year’s Startups Awards. Having only launched his business in April 2015 in Cumbria, Gary has already created a leading reputation in his local community and started turning a profit.

Everyone at Mac Tools would like to congratulate Gary and commend him for his outstanding dedication, not just to his business, but to his community as a whole. He knows that relationships are essential for building a strong and successful business and often goes out of his way for customers. He recently sponsored a customer’s tractor pulling team in the European Championships with Mac Tools branded jackets, a number of charity events and suppling a children’s cricket team with raffle prizes. As a result of his hard work, Gary’s business has gone from strength to strength.

“I’m proud to have been shortlisted for this award. Having only been trading for less than 18 months this is a great achievement for me, even if I don’t win! Mac Tools have supported me throughout the launch of my business and that’s really helped me to push and drive my business forwards. I have built a great local presence so it’s nice to know that my hard work has been recognised not only by Mac Tools but by an external awarding body too! The business has had a huge impact on my young family too. Since starting my Mac Tools business, I have had more time to spend with them. They like to help me with the business which means we can spend time together even when I’m working; my children enjoy dressing up for Tool Fair and other events I visit. It’s been great for all of us and means that we have more freedom and time to spend together as a family,” explains Gary.

“It’s great to see our franchisees performing so well in our network and enjoying what they do. Gary’s dedication to his business and local community makes him more than deserving of this award nomination and we all have our fingers crossed for the award win! We hope to be there to cheer Gary on if he wins at the award ceremony. We’re extremely proud of Gary – if he can achieve this much in his first year of business, we can’t wait to see where the future takes him!” adds Maria Batchvarova, Brand Marketing Executive A&I.
