Established by Chartered Tax Adviser Graham Aldridge and Chartered Certified Accountant Teresa Preston, The Bookkeeping Clinic offers a growing network of self-employed franchisees the opportunity to provide bookkeeping, payroll, VAT, and management reporting services to small and medium sized businesses.

Becoming a Bookkeeping Clinic franchisee can give you all of that. At present, we have opportunities available across the UK for new franchisees to join our ever-expanding network. You will be provided with full training and ongoing support afterward to help you develop your Bookkeeping Clinic into a thriving business.

The support we offer

If you have no experience in bookkeeping – don’t worry. We provide full training to you, and additional support on an ongoing basis. In the first two weeks, you will attend our two-part training course. Week one covers the details of bookkeeping, while in week two we focus on how to build business relationships with potential clients and how to find new ones.

What we teach you:

  • Manual bookkeeping
  • Software bookkeeping
  • Payroll
  • VAT
  • How to produce management reports

We pay a visit to your home or business premises prior to your franchise launch to make sure you have all the support and help you need and to answer any remaining questions. Even after you are up and running, you will not be alone – you’ll receive helpful visits from our trained experts, as and when you need them.

What does it cost to join The Bookkeeping Clinic?

Initial franchise fee: £8,333
This fee is usually £9,999, but for the next ten franchisees we have cut it by £1,666. This fee includes our two week training and the equipment you will need to run your franchise such as a laptop and software.

Management service fee
This is 10% of your sales income, plus VAT, payable each month (excluding the first month). This fee not only covers the ongoing support and help you receive, but also includes the cost of preparing the accounts and tax returns for your own franchise.

Additional costs
You will incur certain additional costs while running your franchise, such as running your office, phone/internet bills and travel costs. To manage these, it is advisable to have some working capital available to you during your first few months of business. We can help you prepare a business plan so that you can determine how much working capital you might require.
