I have made an enquiry, why haven’t I had a reply?

There are a couple of reasons why franchisors don't, or take ages to reply. Mostly it is because it takes time to get to your enquiry and send the appropriate information through to you. This can also be hindered further if the franchisor is out of the office or on holiday.

Some franchisors send their information through the post, some may try and call you and some may email you, so keep your eye on voicemail messages and your junk mail folder. Most franchisors are excellent at replying and we recommend you continue to request the information you want and don't get put off it you don't hear from one.

You may also find that some franchisors require you to sign a confidentiality agreement/non disclosure agreement prior to any further information being sent out. Please remember this is sometimes a critical requirement and it is often needed to validate your request for information.

Also, we want to encourage you to include as much information about yourself and why you are requesting the details of that franchise when you enquire. This is so that you distinguish yourself from others who may not be as serious about the business as you are.

Franchisors should, and often do, send information to every request but the more information you provide such as 'I have looked into finance and this business would be a viable option for me' or 'I am in a position now that if I find the right business I can move immediately', would place your enquiry as a higher priority.

It can take up to 7 working days before you hear from the franchisor in this way. (You should therefore expect to wait for at least 7 working days before reapplying to the franchisor.)

If you’ve still heard nothing after one working week please forward the details of the opportunity or a copy of the email receipt of the franchise you contacted to our Customer Services team.

Once we can verify that you sent your message to the seller over five working days ago our Customer Services team will investigate why the franchisor has not got back to you.

Contacting a franchise

To contact a franchisor you must fill out the contact form at the bottom of the franchise advert page. There is a form on every advert page and you should include as much information here as possible to ensure you receive a prompt and favourable response.

All emails sent through FranchiseSales.com are done so using our secure and confidential email system. Please rest assured that the only recipient of your email will be the franchisor concerned.

Using the site to find a franchise

There are a number of ways you can use the site to help you find and buy your ideal business.

  • Key Word Search - You can find businesses by typing your key word search (e.g. pizza) into the text box found on the homepage. You can also select a country, category and investment level to refine your search.
  • Browse Category - Browse allows you to drill down through the sectors and categories of franchises available and can be found on the homepage under ‘Browse by Category’.

Do I have to pay to get more information?

No. Contacting franchisors is a free service we provide. You don’t need to register or pay any kind of membership fee.

Getting more details about a franchise opportunity

If you would like further information about a franchise for sale you must contact the franchisor directly through the site.

FranchiseSales.com does not hold any more information about a franchise opportunity, other than what is available on the site. We are not a broker or an intermediary. We are an advertising medium – like a newspaper or magazine, but on the web.

Why do I have to provide so much personal information?

You may find on some contact forms, more questions than others. There are many cases when a franchisor asks us to include additional questions in order to qualify the leads they receive. It is also designed to help you realise whether the franchise opportunity is right for you.

You may also find that some franchisors require you to sign a confidentiality agreement prior to any further information being sent out. Please remember this is sometimes a critical requirement and it is often needed to validate your request for information.

We have introduced this functionality so that you can distinguish yourself from others who may not be as serious about the franchise as you are. It will also let the franchisor know that you are serious and speed up their response time.

How can I view my leads?

Once your account is activated, you provide us with an email address (or as many as you need).

Every enquiry made on your franchise opportunity will be delivered to this email address as it is made through the site.

Alternatively, you will also be given a username and password. You can log in any time and view all enquiries made on your franchise opportunity for any given date range.

Should there ever be a problem with email delivery, remember that you can access all enquiries in your secure account area.
