Bright & Beautiful is booming, as demand for domestic cleaners reaches 10 year high

Working mums give family friendly work model the thumbs up.

Working mums give family friendly work model the thumbs up.

Domestic homecare service Bright and Beautiful is signing up a record number of new business owners this summer, with five new working mums buying a franchise in September 2011 alone.

The five new Bright and Beautiful businesses will be run by women from a range of professional backgrounds including a freight manager, a marketeer, a bookkeeper, a former Army wife and an export manager – proving that the profitable and flexible business model is a real breakthrough for working women and mums.

Bright and Beautiful is taking the domestic cleaning franchise industry by storm with a radical, ethical and eco-friendly approach to business that is designed to support women and their families in the UK and overseas.

According to a recent report in The Daily Telegraph, six million households now employ domestic help in the UK, a million more than ten years ago.

"Despite the recession and the subsequent squeeze on the disposable income of many families, many people feel they just don't have time to do their own housework. This number compares with five million, when the topic was surveyed a decade ago, suggesting that, despite the economic downturn, many believe professional help is a necessity rather than a luxury, ensuring they have an ironed shirt, a clean bath and tidy bedroom on a regular basis.

"Rachel Ray MD of Bright & Beautiful says: "We’ve had an incredible few months of growth and are delighted to welcome so many new women into our business. We’ve found a lot of professional women and working mums are exploring different career directions these days and we can offer them the opportunity to work for themselves – with all the flexibility that offers - but with the support and expertise of a franchise behind them.

“Our clients tell us that we provide a higher quality service than other cleaning companies at a competitive price. Our eco-friendly, ethical and professional approach means we consistently win new clients who stay with us for the long term!"

Two of the new Bright and Beautiful franchisees comment:

“The initial training course has been informative and fun…it’s great to know that there is such a fantastic ongoing support from a fabulous group of inspiring/empowering women” says Jo Wilkinson, 37, from Lincoln.

“The franchise launch training was comprehensive and delivered in a fun and enjoyable way! The depth of knowledge and experience included in the Operations Manual and discussed during the training gave me assurance that the business model is thoroughly tried and tested and that I will be fully supported in establishing my business” states Nicola Bailey, 45, from Bury.

Bright & Beautiful offers an award-winning and rapidly expanding ethical service that delivers eco-friendly cleaning, tidying, laundry and ironing and receives glowing testimonials from franchise owners and clients alike.

Bright & Beautiful founder director Rachel Ray was inspired to set up the company after having worked in international business consultancy for 15 years.  Following a career break to have her two children Rachel wanted to pursue a career that would enable her to combine work and family.  The Bright and Beautiful vision is focused on supporting and empowering women; franchise owners who have a business which can earn a great income but fit within school hours; clients who need their homes managed; teams who have fair employment rights and a great working environment and impoverished families that they sponsor overseas.
