Molly Maid Franchisees Enjoy Success Despite Credit Crunch

Despite the ‘credit crunch’ MOLLY MAID, the UK’s largest domestic cleaning franchise, is still going strong. With nearly 25 years of experience it is no surprise that their proven system continues to attract those wanting to start their own business with the security of a large brand behind them.

In the last month MOLLY MAID have launched a new franchise in Wirral, Paul and Kirsty Cotton are running the business following a week of intensive training at Support Office.

Kirsty says: “MOLLY MAID offers a well established franchise system with a strong Brand presence and focus on doing one thing very well. The biggest difference for us, however, has been the people at MOLLY MAID, who gave us the confidence that we were joining a winning team and making the right decision all round.”

Their business is off to a great start, as the other new Franchise Owners are. The new franchise owners in Warrington and Doncaster are going from strength to strength.

Warrington’s Chris Neocleous who started with MOLLY MAID in January says: “Joining MOLLY MAID is the best thing I have done in a long time, I am working really hard to get the business established but I can see my sales turnover growing in leaps and bounds.”

Andy and Lynne Crewe run the local MOLLY MAID taking care of homes in the Doncaster area. After just 3 months of operating in the area, they already have a significant number of regular customers which allows them to have two MOLLY MAID cars on the road.

Andy says: “Within a week of opening the phone was ringing non-stop with people interested in starting the service, which shows just how many people need help around the home.”

Pam Bader OBE and CEO of MOLLY MAID, notes that the downturn in the economy has resulted in more partners who previously would have stayed at home going out to work so they’ve no time for the housework.

“Our year on year sales are up by 5% across the Network which just shows how resilient the domestic cleaning market is to the credit squeeze," says Pam. This sort of strong continued growth in an industry is great and certainly indicates stability in less stable times.
