Fitness franchise: fitness sector is booming

Fitness Franchise

The Pure Gym group has secured £9m of investment to almost double its gym portfolio to 28 and aiming to have 100,000 members by 2012.

Against all conventional wisdom the fitness franchise sector is booming with an upwards trend in demand for cheaper and more flexible gym membership.

So a gym franchise could be lucrative purchase.

The cleaning franchise continues to strengthen its position as a successful and lucrative franchise model. The cleaning market is now growing at more than 10% annually and UK turnover hit £6bn in 2010.

To capitalise on this growth a leading franchise is now offering perks to compete with other businesses.

Domestique offers free private medical insurance to its franchisees and their families, emphasising that franchisees can generate around £6,000 per month after just 18 months.

Co-founder Leigh Prendiville appreciates that the benefits of the corporate life are often forsaken when setting up a franchise.

He says “We want all franchises to choose private medical healthcare so they can get back to the business of running their business.”

The cleaning franchise market has seen considerable consolidation in recent years. Yet 91% of the market is controlled by only around 125 cleaning companies, suggesting that there is room for greater diversity and competition in this sector.

A Domestique franchise is available for just £8,958 plus VAT until the end of 2011.
