Home Instead win Gold at BFA’s Franchisor of the Year Awards

12 July 2013

Home Instead Senior Care, the at-home care  franchise business set up in the UK in 2006 by husband and wife team, Trevor and Sam Brocklebank, have been crowned winners at the British Franchise Association HSBC Franchisor of the Year Awards when they collected the Gold award.

Part of a global network specialising in the non-medical care of the elderly, Home Instead has carved out a niche for itself, both in the home care sector where its unique service has seen it the recipient of numerous care industry awards and in the franchise sector where its name is synonymous with a unique business model, quality support and delivery of exceptional results for its franchisees.

The BFA Gold award comes as the company’s revenues showed growth of 45% (the sixth consecutive year of 40% plus growth) and the number of offices increased to over 135. Perhaps one of the company’s most impressive statistics is that the couple’s business is now the third largest revenue generator for the global business which has a turnover of approaching $1billion.

For the team at Home Instead, what’s ultimately important is getting the service right and that includes making a difference to the lives of its elderly clients. As Trevor himself says, “If we can improve people’s lives by delivering a service which is second to none then the financial side of the business will fall in to place.”

In making their award to Home Instead, the judges mentioned that Trevor was voted as one of the ten most influential people in social care last year and commended the company on their campaign to improve standards in the social care sector.

Commenting on winning Gold, Trevor said, “We are delighted to be the recipients of this award. It recognises the growth we have achieved and our aspirations to directly influence and shape the way care is delivered.

“The award has been made possible by our enthusiastic and committed franchisees who are doing great work and it also bears testament to our business model and the quality of support, training and development offered to our franchisees by our superb national office team.”

Home Instead Senior Care’s Gold award follows two silver awards in this category in the previous two years.
