Home Instead expands its presence in the Scottish Market

03 June 2014

Award winning home care franchise, Home Instead Senior Care is expanding its presence in Scotland as it focuses on opening an additional 30 offices throughout the country over the next few years.

Home Instead specialises in providing quality non-medical care services to older people so they can remain living in their own homes. By focusing on relationship led care, the company offers a very different approach to the task based, short call duration services associated with most traditional home care providers. Care services are tailored to the client’s individual needs, with a minimum of 1 hour duration for each visit to allow the caregivers enough time to provide quality care and also develop a strong relationship with the client.

The introduction of Self Directed Support in Scotland is welcomed by Home Instead, as it will enable people to exercise greater choice and control over the care and support they receive. The changes have the potential to transform the experiences of thousands of older people and their families, allowing them to take the funding they are entitled to in lieu of services from their local Council. By using the funding to help towards the cost of the tailored services provided by Home Instead, it will enable them to truly maintain their independence and dignity, and achieve the things that are important to them.

Trevor Brocklebank, CEO and Co-Founder of Home Instead Senior Care, the current holders of the bfa HSBC Franchisor of the Year Award, commented, “Home Instead Senior Care offers an exciting opportunity for people interested in running their own successful business, while also making a difference in their local community at the same time. Scotland is a key growth area for Home Instead. We opened our first office in Scotland based in Edinburgh in 2011 and have since opened two additional offices in the Glasgow and Lothian areas. We are planning to open another 30 franchise offices throughout Scotland over next few years, including areas such as Aberdeen, Stirling, Dundee and Inverness.”

Home Instead Senior Care is a management franchise, so no care experience is needed as full training is provided.
