Communication is the key at Home Instead

30 July 2014

During June, Home Instead Senior Care delivered five regional meetings for its franchise owners across the UK, with the main theme being the recruitment and retention of caregivers and staff.

Home Instead actively communicates with its franchise owners in a variety of ways. The regional meetings present a great opportunity for franchisees to engage in healthy discussions on topics they want to talk about and it is vital that in response to these discussions, the franchisor provides meaningful, realistic and practical solutions to educate and motivate the franchisees.

Commenting on the meetings, Martin Jones COO of Home Instead Senior Care said:

“The regional meetings are a key element of Home Instead’s communication strategy and following feedback from our franchise network we identified that the recruitment and retention of the right people was proving to be a challenge."

“We developed a programme of tools and techniques that our owners can tailor to develop their own bespoke recruitment strategies to grow their business and achieve their goals - and the feedback has been outstanding. All the key materials, tools and top tips from the regional meetings has been cascaded to our franchise owners so they can start to implement what they learnt in their own offices.”

Launched in 2005, Home Instead Senior Care now has over 150 offices throughout the UK and is continuing to grow. Specialising in the provision of non-medical care services to older people to help them to remain living in their own homes, Home Instead Senior Care offers an exciting opportunity to run your own successful business, while also making a difference in your local community at the same time.
