A NEW START AT RIGHT AT HOME RICHMOND AND TWICKENHAM

26 April 2021

Outstanding home care provider Right at Home GF is set to branch out into Richmond and Twickenham after acquiring thex x  franchise for this area.

Alastair Shanks, the Managing Director of Right at Home GF, is delighted with the expansion and says: “I’m extremely proud to take on Right at Home Richmond and Twickenham - previously known as Right at Home Twickenham to Weybridge - as Michelle Apostol, the former owner has decided to move on from the role.

“Michelle has worked tirelessly to build up the branch and an excellent staff team, so I am fortunate to take on an established care business with a reputation for providing high quality care. I’m looking forward to working with Michelle’s staff to develop our services further and help more people live independently for longer.”

Michelle Apostol ran Right at Home Twickenham to Weybridge for the past seven years. She says: “It has seen an immense pleasure to develop the business with the backing of an excellent team of CareGivers and support staff, but now feels like the right time to hand over the reins. I know that with Alastair in the saddle, both staff and Clients will be in great hands.”

And whilst the business name has changed to Right at Home Richmond and Twickenham to reflect Alastair’s focus on the two towns and surrounding areas, for Clients, the transition will be seamless, with the same CareGivers continuing to provide the same high standard of care.

“My first priorities will be ensuring our Clients receive excellent care and supporting the staff team in enjoying their jobs. We will recruit even more fantastic CareGivers with a view to helping more people live comfortably and independently in their own homes. With that in mind, I have appointed Sara Woodley, who is the very experienced Registered Manager at our Farnham office, to support the existing Care Manager and office team in the daily running.”

Right at Home will keep its local presence in the area with a dedicated office covering Richmond and Twickenham. Ms Woodley will take on the registration of the Richmond and Twickenham franchise with the Care Quality Commission. The franchise officially changed ownership on Thursday 1 April, in what is the first resale of a Right at Home territory.

The quality homecare brand, current holder of the Best Franchise Award, now operates across 68 franchise territories in England and Wales and is also preparing to open its first office in Scotland.
