Double Win for Autosmart at the bfa HSBC Franchise Awards

Autosmart is thrilled to be awarded the prestigious title of Franchisor of the Year 2014. It’s the third time in the last six years that they have claimed the top accolade in UK franchising. They have also set a precedent by winning the first BFA Franchisee Recruitment Award 2014; a new category added this year.

 

Brian Smart, Director General of the bfa, comments “The company won over judges with the sheer professionalism of their operation. Autosmart’s selection, training and support underline the ambition they have for their franchisee success. This past year has been their best record, and that has to be set against coming through a recession that ravaged their sector.

“Autosmart have placed franchisee profitability at the heart of their corporate goals and they, and their franchisees, are reaping the rewards of that ethos”.

Autosmart Franchise Director Michelle Williams said: “Receiving our fifth and sixth bfa awards since 2008 means so much to us and our network of franchisees. We have been working very hard for the past year on maintaining our high standards, whilst driving sales and putting franchisee profitability at the heart of everything we do. The awards are a testament to the hard work that our head office team and our franchisees all over the country put into driving the company’s success, and we’re very happy and proud to have been recognised for our efforts and ethics.”

 The bfa awards place ethics, standards and best practice at the top of their criteria. In 2013 Autosmart franchisees achieved record sales in the U.K of over £44m in a tough and challenging market. Autosmart’s Managing Director Sophie Atkinson comments “I am really thrilled that Autosmart have won a double. I feel the reason that we stood out is because of our franchisees’ success over the last 12 months. 5 out of 6 franchisees have enjoyed their all time business bests. A third achieved the results on their own using the skills they developed during their initial training programme. The other two thirds asked us  for additional help and we were pleased to work hand in hand with these business owners to help them achieve their goals. For Autosmart, that is what franchising is about.”
