Caremark takes top Care award at Great British Care Awards

06 June 2016

Home care provider, Caremark (Aylesbury & Wycombe) were celebrating last Friday when they took the top Home Care Worker Award 2016 at the Great British Care Awards held at Birmingham’s ICC.

Care worker, Giles Theodore went against tough competition to clinch the top award in his category.

Janis Anderson, Managing Director commented: “We are all absolutely delighted for Giles and it is a great reflection on our Care Manager, Hayley Gough who has worked with him throughout his time with us.

“Giles had no experience in care when he joined us but took advantage of all the training available to develop his skills, but this only complimented his personal strengths of compassion, understanding and dedication to the high standards that GBCA judges were looking for.”

The GBCA Home Care Worker award recognizes the important role of the care worker and celebrates the consistent high quality service provided to vulnerable individuals who wish to remain living at home.

Judges expect to see a high standard of home care, evidence of dedication, development of the career path through ongoing training and collaboration and team working with colleagues.

Steve Walls once again hosted the awards evening with the trophies being presented by Christopher Biggins.

This latest award is yet another gong in a line of successive trophies for the successful and expanding Buckinghamshire home care provider.
