A Hat Trick For Caremark (Plymouth)!

13 October 2017

Local home care business owner, Graham Livingston and his care team are feeling jubilant following their hat trick of awards at the recent Plymouth City Council ‘Celebrating Excellence in Care’ event.

Graham Livingston (50), Managing Director of Caremark (Plymouth) and his team were among the first to be awarded the Dementia Quality Mark for Domiciliary Care by Plymouth City Council.

This accolade is awarded by a panel of representatives from the Plymouth City Council, new Devon Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and an independent Chair.  It recognizes the high standard of care that the Caremark team provide their clients, specifically those with Dementia.

Livingston and his team were also presented with two further awards at the prestigious black-tie event held at the New Continental Hotel in Plymouth: Innovation and Good Practice in Dementia Care and Innovation and Good Practice in Quality Assurance.

Karen Holmes, Caremark (Plymouth)’s Registered Care Manager put a process into action making it easier for their team of carers and other health professionals, to identify clients who already have a diagnosis of Dementia which ultimately won Caremark the Innovation and Good Practice in Dementia.

This was followed by the Innovation and Good Practice in Quality Assurance which was presented to Karen Holmes herself for her many years of delivering high quality care and for her dedication to their clients.

Reflecting on their night of success, Livingston said: “The whole team at Caremark (Plymouth) dedicate so much to our clients and for our hard work to be recognized is fantastic.  To achieve the Dementia Quality Mark rating is something that makes us very proud and even more determined to continue our efforts to support those in need in our community.

“Winning the awards goes to show that our dedicated team are offering the best quality care to our clients.”

Local man Livingston, bought his Caremark business in October 2012 and has grown his business to one providing work to more than 100 local care workers, delivering close to 2100 hours of care and support per week to the local community.

Caremark (Plymouth)’s bespoke care service enables many vulnerable people in the local community to remain living safely and independently at home, supported to live with dignity and choice.  Without their dedicated care workers supporting them, hundreds of individuals would not be able to remain living at home, where they want to be.
