Five Time Winner of Marketing Awards

07 April 2011

"Five awards from 15 finals, that's a one-in-three strike rate,” said a jubilant Troy Tappenden, Dream Doors founder and managing director, as he collected the award for 'Best Franchisee Marketing Support'.

“This award in particular means a great deal to everyone at Dream Doors. We put an incredible amount of work into helping our decor franchise owners coordinate their marketing activities, all of which ensures they see a return on their investment. Pound for pound we must give some of the best support in the industry, and this latest award justifies that,” says Tappenden.
Dream Doors has been shortlisted for at least one award in each of the six years the Franchise Marketing Awards have been running. In the last three years alone, the kitchen franchise has been shortlisted nine times, winning five awards in total.

This year's trophy - presented to the franchisor that could demonstrate the highest standards in training and a proven marketing strategy that delivers cost-effective results - sits alongside previous decorations for 'Best Brand Management' and 'Best Recruitment Advertisement' in 2009, and 'Best Advertisement' and 'Best Overall Marketing Campaign' last year.

Tappenden adds, “I'm proud of my team for consistently delivering outstanding support. And I'm grateful to those franchisees that harness the support available to them and then work hard to grow their businesses. It's their success that helps us to grow as a brand.”

The judges were impressed by the manner in which Dream Doors implements proven promotional activities that are consistently analysed by franchisees and franchise support staff. They were also taken by the work of Dream Doors' latest support team member, digital marketing manager, Paul Isaia. And this work has already had an impact on franchisees' businesses, including that of Oxford based, Mike Hurley, who, with sales of more than £92,000 last month, is excited by the investments made in digital marketing.

“There has been a lot of effort put into raising Dream Doors' profile online,” says Hurley. “And, as a result, we have noticed a sharp increase in appointments and sales from website enquiries.”
“I'm not surprised Dream Doors keeps winning awards,” he adds. “Our support manager, Bryn Jones, has been fantastic, as have Troy and all of the team based down in Hampshire. The support we get extends well beyond marketing though, and in reality, it far outstrips what is contractually agreed.”
