Dream Doors, the UK’s largest kitchen door replacement franchise, has just completed its 60,000th kitchen makeover. Established in 1999, the company’s very first kitchen facelift was sold from its original base in Gosport, Hampshire. But, from those humble beginnings, Dream Doors has now grown into a national franchise network almost 80 showrooms strong.
The company’s 60,000th sale was won by Nick and Sandy Martin, owners of the Dream Doors franchise in Brigg, North Lincolnshire. Their delighted customers, Mr and Mrs Austin, who were presented with a luxury hamper, said they couldn’t wait to show off their brand-new kitchen to family and friends.
“Dream Doors provided an excellent service, the new units were beautifully fitted and the team were second to none,” says Mrs Austin. “Our new kitchen looks fantastic. We would like to extend our thanks to all those involved.”
It’s just one year since Dream Doors sold its 50,000th kitchen, a job completed in September 2016 by its Norwich franchise. With close to 900 jobs being completed every month, and more branches opening all the time, the 70,000th kitchen makeover will be achieved by mid-2018.
Dream Doors’ financial performance during 2017 has surpassed expectation, with group turnover for 2017 projected at £45M. And, since Dream Doors’ unique blend of time and money-saving kitchen makeovers delivered by locally owned franchisees is taking market share, company founder, Troy Tappenden, is naturally in high spirits:
“2017 is shaping up to the best year for Dream Doors yet! With financial figures exceeding target and many new franchisees joining our growing network, it’s certainly the best time to be in this industry! We sold our 50,000th kitchen makeover during September last year. So, for the network to sell over 10,000 projects in a single year is more than impressive, truly illustrating the collective hard work and determination of the Dream Doors franchise network.”
Dream Doors allows customers to completely overhaul their kitchen for a fraction of the cost of a full re-fit, by replacing work surfaces and doors to create a completely fresh look. All doors are made to measure in the UK, and are available in a vast range of colours, styles and materials.
The company achieved an average customer rating of 9.6 out of 10 on Checkatrade.com, and of all the consumer feedback received, just one in every 187 jobs showed reasons for concern. The national average is 1 in 4, prompting Checkatrade’s boss, Kevin Byrne to describe Dream Doors’ statistics as “nothing short of remarkable.”
With the number of kitchen makeovers performed by the franchise rapidly increasing over time, it seems the company’s illustrious 100,000th makeover is well within reach.
Dream Doors continues to search for new franchisees nationwide, and will be attending the National Franchise Exhibition at the NEC, Birmingham on 13th and 14thOctober. The company will also be at local franchise shows at Exeter Racecourse on 22nd September and Towcester Racecourse on 3rd November. Visit the company’s franchise website for more details.
