Discovered the route to financial security

Neil Mansell from Chelmsford in Essex joined Platinum Property Partners in 2007 following, as he describes, “A disastrous annual review at work which actually turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to me.”

Working at the time as a business development manager with an investment agency, earning £35,000 a year and becoming increasingly dissatisfied with his role, Neil was told at his appraisal by his boss that he had no future in the organisation. What could have sent others into a tailspin proved a turning point for Neil, who decided to capitalise on his interest in property and start researching how he could forge a viable career from buy-to-let investment.

Having spent months exploring the various options available, Neil spoke with Steve Bolton, Founder of Platinum Property Partners, in 2006, and was impressed with the robust business model and exceptional rental income it produced. Working closely with PPP, Neil learned the fundamental principles of successful property investment, which enabled him to generate £700 gross profit per month from his first property alone. Over the following year, Neil continued to build his portfolio of properties around Chelmsford in his spare time whilst still working for the investment agency. By the end of 2007, Neil resigned from his job and began investing full time.

His portfolio has now grown to include over fifteen properties in and around Chelmsford and is valued at over £4,000,000, generating an operating profit in excess of £100,000 per year.

Talking about his success Neil recounts; “Back in 2007, having £100,000 annual income and a multi-million pound property portfolio seemed totally out of reach to me.
