We welcome Akin to the Premier Sport network this month as he launches his franchise in the Wolverhampton territory. 

Wolverhampton is a part of the world he knows well as, over the last nine years, he has been teaching in a local secondary school. He enjoyed the challenging role of Head of Department (ICT) as well as a KS3 leader.

Before becoming a teacher, Akin demonstrated his natural ability to inspire children by being a Social Worker working with disadvantaged children.  This natural skill and passion can be further demonstrated with Akin being a volunteer for the Youth Offending Service ensuring that disillusioned children did not offend.

It was 12 months ago that Akin first made contact with Premier Sport. He was keen to pursue his long term ambition of running his own business by attending The British Franchise Exhibition in Manchester in June 2014. It was through a conversation with Chris Hughes at Franchise Finance who suggested he explored the Premier Sport franchise.  It wasn’t long before Akin was undergoing his business planning and due diligence as Premier clearly matched his values and ethics.  Akin successfully presented his business plan at Christmas which in turn allowed him enough time to give notice and look forward to launching his business.

It is testament to the Premier Sport opportunity that Akin with his school teaching experience recognised the value of the Premier Sport proposition and inspiring children through physical activity.

Not satisfied with just launching a new exciting business, Akin and his wife are expecting their second child this summer. When he is not focused on building his business or fulfilling family duties, Akin plays basketball and has a passion for martial arts.

Akin is confident that with his teaching experience, also his passion for making sure children have the opportunity to be active, which in turn will have a positive effect on their well being. He has the drive to go forward and build a successful sport and physical activity business.
