Three New Franchisees Made To Feel Right At Home

01 February 2016

Right at Home, a global leader in the home care market, is delighted to announce the launch of three new UK franchises.

The three new franchisees, Bryan McMorrine who will be working in Central London, Joe Morgan in Portsmouth and Matt Gillie in Hereford, have all begun their Right at Home training this month and all three will launch their businesses in the coming months.

The excited new business owners all have something in common, not only did they always want to run their own business, but they also wanted to make a real difference and give something back to the local community.

Bryan McMorrine, who is originally from Scotland and has a background in finance and marketing, explains: “After spending over 20 years working in an industry that is focused on making people wealthier, I was keen to start my own business that really helps people. I chose Right at Home as they have a proven worldwide business model with an ethos for high quality.”

Joe Morgan, Right at Home Portsmouth, who is from Northern Ireland and previously worked in customer support, sales and marketing in the aviation sector, adds: “For some considerable time now my ambition has been to run my own business, and at the same time give something back to society. Having spent 30 years in the aerospace industry, I decided that a move into the care sector was the right one for me. Of the various care franchises available, Right at Home was an easy and natural choice. The ethos of care delivered with compassion and integrity, making a difference to those we serve every day, makes me proud to be part of the Right at Home family.”

Matt Gillie, who will be launching his franchise in Hereford, has made a real change not only in his career, but also in his personal life. As not only is he starting his own business for the first time but he has moved his family out of the city and relocated to the country.

He explains: “I spent over 20 years working in the highly charged world of investment banking. The longer I stayed the more disillusioned I became. The business was soulless and ultimately self-serving, no matter how many times we told ourselves that banking oils the wheels of everything else. Recently I seized on an opportunity to extricate myself from the whole business and move my family out of London. I had been thinking for a while of a second career to ‘atone’ for my first one and after being introduced to Right at Home, Ken Deary and some of the franchisees, I was shown I could have just such a thing. The focus on doing an important thing very very well and using that to build a successful business is exactly what I was looking for. I am incredibly excited at starting my own small piece of the RaH jigsaw, and getting to know my future clients, staff and co-franchisees.”

Right at Home is an in-home care provider committed to providing a high-quality service above all else. Quality underpins its values and culture, which is to help others and give something back to local communities. Its aim is to achieve profitability by offering quality services that stand out from those offered elsewhere.

To ensure this quality is maintained across all its 30 plus UK franchises, it is essential that Right at Home selects committed quality franchisees, that with excellent training and support, will provide quality care and high business growth.

“Our franchisees come from an incredibly wide range of working backgrounds and not only is the care sector completely new to most of them, only a small number have ever owned a business before,” explains Ken Deary, Right at Home UK Managing Director.

“All our franchisees need to have a set of core values; integrity, compassion and ambition. Obviously everyone has a slightly different approach to running their business based upon their experience, personality and leadership style and we embrace that diversity in our network as we know it makes us stronger.

“As an accomplished franchise we can offer training and on-going support in every single area of a RaH business, however we recognise that our role is not to smother, but rather to help identify what help is needed and when. We have a network of confident individuals who take control of their businesses and lead from the front – it is our job to create the perfect environment in which they can thrive and give them the right set of tools so they can keep building on their successes.”

He adds: “All our franchisees have to share at least one common attribute; they really need to care. We simply don’t bring people into our organisation that don’t.”
