Leading pizza franchise, Papa John’s, has announced its recent store opening in Denton, Manchester has ‘toped the lot’ in terms of first week sales.  Denton is the fifth store to be run by franchisee Amit Abhol (Rana), who has outlined plans to open 20 Papa John’s by 2020.   

Phil Gaffer, QFP, franchise sales and business development manager at Papa John’s explained: “Denton, which opened its doors in October, has smashed this year’s records for a first week’s trading in the UK.   Manchester is clearly ‘hot’ for Papa John’s!   However, this is just the start for Rana and his team as they aim to expand with more stores soon and we look forward to helping them as they grow.”

The Denton Papa John’s is located on Stockport Road and was officially opened by local MP Andrew Gwynne.  Rana who joined Papa John’s in June 2017 commented: “It is great to have the support of our local MP Andrew Gwynne, as we launch this new business within the local community.”

To celebrate the opening, Rana’s team gave away 100 pizzas to the first customers.  “We also worked closely with Papa John’s PR support and local marketing team to interest the regional press, inviting them to sample our world-class pizzas,” confirmed Rana.  “Feedback was exceptionally positive and the articles published ‘went down well’ with customers attracting a lot of interest! 

Rana concluded:  “Papa John’s is famous for its “BETTER INGREDIENTS.  BETTER PIZZA. concept which means we only serve-up the highest quality ingredients and fresh dough – never frozen – to create a better natural flavour.  We look forward to continuing to deliver on that promise and keep our new Denton customers happy and coming back for more!”
