NOT JUST TRAVEL DRIVES CONTINUAL NEVER ENDING IMPROVEMENT AT MID-YEAR CONFERENCE

12 June 2018

New sales incentive for Travel Consultants to drive away a new Mini Cooper announced

Multi-award winning franchise, Not Just Travel welcomed more than 200 franchisees to its mid-year Conference this weekend (Saturday 9 June), making it the first travel brand to meet with its Travel Consultants following the Package Travel Regulation announcement made by the UK Government on Friday (8 June).

Held at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham, the Conference was an opportunity for its founders, Steve Witt and Paul Harrison to provide an update on the company's exciting growth and future plans, all underpinned by the Conference theme: Continual Never Ending Improvement.

It's biggest Conference to date, the day started with a recap of Not Just Travel's rapid growth. In the first five months of this year, The Travel Franchise - the recruitment arm of Not Just Travel - has signed-up 98 new franchisees, after a record-breaking May, with 32 franchisees recruited in the month alone. Its existing franchisees are also experiencing great success, having increased sales by 85%, which has enabled 10 franchisees so far in 2018 go on to achieve The Travel Franchise's Money Back Challenge. This unique incentive offers every new franchisee the chance to earn their franchise fee back within their first year if they reach achievable sales targets.

Details of another sales incentive were also shared at the conference - the opportunity for every Not Just Travel Consultant to drive a brand new Mini Cooper for at least three months. In-line with the Conference theme of Continual Never Ending Improvement, Travel Consultant's simply need to increase their sales each month for the next three months and achieve their sales target.

Demonstrating its commitment to provide first-class support to its franchisees, Not Just Travel announced details of how it is going one step further to ensure its franchisees have all the help and advice they need to run a successful home-based travel business, with the introduction of two new support initiatives - Super Hero Support and The Star Council.

Having recently bolstered its support team with several new recruits, Super Hero Support will build on the existing one-on-one support provided from the head office team. New features include an all new Helpdesk, live chat and WhatsApp messaging for real-time responses, a new online training centre, as well as scheduled telephone calls with the head office team. While The Star Council will see six franchisees chosen from the field to represent their fellow franchisees, helping to ensure any issues or updates are shared with the head office team. Providing franchisees with a voice, The Star Council will also be able to make suggestions and recommendations to HQ to direct future investment to where franchisees feel it is most needed.

Paul Harrison, co-founder of The Travel Franchise, said: “Our mid-year Conference was a great success. Due to our rapid growth, we felt it necessary to have the opportunity to meet with more of our franchisees and update them on company developments sooner than our annual Conference later in the year.

“The theme of the Conference, Continual Never Ending Improvement, is the ethos by which Steve and I run Not Just Travel and The Travel Franchise. We're constantly looking for new ways we can help our Travel Consultants grow their businesses and make them even more successful, so we were delighted to reveal details of our new support initiatives, Super Hero Support and Star Council.

“We hope the theme will also motivate and inspire our franchisees to be the very best that they can be, and with another fantastic sales incentive available - the chance for every franchisee to drive a brand Mini Cooper for a minimum of three months. We're delighted to be able to offer this incentive, which is quite possibly the biggest ever offered to a travel homeworker! We can't wait to see what they all go away and do!”

Another key focus for the Conference was the opportunity to share details of the recently announced Package Travel Regulation. Coming into force on 1 July, the Conference provided the ideal opportunity for the Regulation to be addressed face-to-face with the Not Just Travel Consultants, with Steve and Paul providing advice and guidance, as well as allaying any concerns. The company has been planning for the new Regulation for several months, with updates to products and services, new training, a new website and even better customer service and support, enabling a seamless transition for franchisees and customers into the new Package Travel Regulation.

Paul added: “The Conference also gave us a timely opportunity to discuss the upcoming Package Travel Regulation. Although the details were only just announced on Friday, we've actually been working on plans for it for the last few months, and we believe we are ahead of many of our competitors in updating our Travel Consultants. In fact, we're confident we were the first travel franchise to update our Travel Consultants with all the necessary details and make sure they are well prepared. The Regulation will actually only affect a very small percentage of our bookings, but nevertheless, it's important that our franchisees are able to give the best service to their customers and be aware of the changes coming into force from July.”

The Conference also provided an opportunity to share updates on several other business developments including details of new strategic partnerships and expansion of the Partners in Travel programme. The launch of two new websites were announced - a significant investment that will enable faster and easier booking, while a new range of marketing materials are now available, specifically designed to help Travel Consultants find even more customers and build on current success.

To support its rapid growth, several new appointments to the Not Just Travel head office team were shared, demonstrating the company's commitment to helping its franchisees achieve success.

The Travel Franchise is the recruitment arm of the award-winning travel agency, Not Just Travel. With more than 600 franchisees, it is the UK's fastest growing travel franchise, with a new franchisee signing up every other day.
