Caremark’s 70s charity disco night raises over £450 for Alzheimer’s

03 August 2015

Last Saturday, North Hertfordshire home care provider, Caremark (North Herts & Stevenage) joined forces with their local pub in Baldock to sponsor a 70s disco evening and raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Colin Evans, Managing Director of Caremark and Rob Scahill, landlord of the Orange Tree pub hosted a fancy dress 70s disco evening, with members of the Caremark team turning out in their best 70s retro outfits.

The family friendly event started at 5.30pm and there were plenty of refreshments available with a BBQ to keep the disco-dancers going!

“There was a good turnout and some really interesting fancy dress costumes!  It was great to see how everyone entered into the spirit of the occasion” said Colin Evans.

A raffle with superb prizes encouraged people to buy tickets.  The first prize, donated by Caremark enabled one lucky winner to enjoy an overnight stay in a luxury spa hotel for two, with the second and third prizes being donated by landlord, Rob Scahill.

The evening raised £480 for the Alzheimer’s Society, with monies from the luxury raffle contributing to the total sum which will be donated to the local branch of the charity.

Caremark (North Herts & Stevenage) deliver bespoke care and support to a broad range of clients, some of whom already have or are likely to develop Alzheimer’s disease or some form of dementia.  Their service enables individuals to remain living safely and independently at home, giving them more choice and control over how they would like to live their lives.
