Stagecoach host action-packed away-day for franchise network

The Stagecoach Performing Arts network came together to spend time at Condover Hall, for a franchisee away-day. Franchisees were invited to take part in assault courses, archery and kayaking – sharing in the experience of challenging endeavours and having some fun with their fellow Principals.  

On Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th April, franchisees from around the UK joined the franchise support team at the specialist activity centre, in Shrewsbury. Over 60 franchisees and head office staff spent two days taking part in a whole host of activities, specially chosen so everyone could bond. These activities included a high aerial trek, kayaking on the on-site lake, high and low rope courses and archery lessons.

Tilly James, franchisee at Stagecoach Buckingham, took a lot away from the two-day event and is grateful for the opportunity to spend time with other business owners in a fun and collaborative atmosphere.

“I really enjoyed stepping away from my own business for a couple of days and having fun with other franchisees. I’m really glad Stagecoach run these types of events – they remind you that taking time out of your business is good for your development and makes you an all-round happier franchisee too. At Stagecoach, we’re all about encouraging our students to step out of their comfort zones, so we’re practising what we preach by taking part in such adrenaline-fueled activities! As a self-employed actress, I never really felt like I was part of a team until I joined Stagecoach. Days like today make me really proud to be part of such a friendly and interactive network – it helps me reconnect with the bigger picture.”

Sarah Kelly, CEO of Stagecoach, joined the franchisees at Condover Hall and enjoyed taking part in team-building exercises with the network.

“It was a really fun and energetic couple of days – it was wonderful to see our franchisees working together to accomplish some of the challenges. We’re often planning events for our students around the world to take part in, so we were keen to replicate this experience for our franchisees. Bringing everyone together gives them the chance to let their hair down and not ‘talk shop’ for a couple of days. We’ve had incredible feedback from all of the franchisees who attended so this is definitely something we hope to repeat in the future.”
