8-time winner reaches the finals of the FMAs for the 11th year in a row

06 September 2017

Dream Doors is no stranger to success. With almost 80 showrooms open across the UK, and more than 60,000 kitchen makeovers to its name, it’s clear that the nation’s homeowners see the value in the Dream Doors service. Plus, with 40 franchise industry award nominations, and 11 trophies won to date, it seems like the franchising elite agrees.

Dream Doors is a service that specialises in replacement kitchen doors and worktops, giving customers the look and feel of a brand-new kitchen at a fraction of the price. With network turnover now in the tens of millions, and a support structure that ensures franchisees see the best return on their investments, in hindsight, it’s no surprise that Dream Doors have been shortlisted by the FMAs once again.

The award nominations are for: Best Website, due to the franchises’ sleek and stylish new site, Best Franchisee Marketing Support, for the help and guidance given to franchisees by the company’s expert marketing team, and finally Best Online Marketing Campaign for all the successful online campaigns undertaken by the business. The award winners will be announced at this year’s National Franchise Exhibition held at the NEC, Birmingham on 13th & 14th October, where prospective new franchisees can also find Dream Doors on stand L60.

Dream Doors franchisees have been thriving in recent years, with even brand-new recruits turning over in excess of £500,000 in a single year. This success can be largely attributed to the dedicated support provided by the franchisor and the head office team. In fact, in the last three years alone, Dream Doors has trebled its in-territory support and invested more in training its franchisees than at any other time since the company was launched, bringing the ratio of HQ staff to franchisee to 4:1.

Michael Maughan-Brown, of Dream Doors Exeter, had this to say:

“I wanted to be part of a network that is recognised for its exceptional levels of customer service, as shown by Checkatrade feedback; because the financial returns achieved by franchisees are very attractive; and because, after speaking to three franchisees, one at the top end of the spectrum of achievement; one in the middle; and one towards the bottom; as well as staff at two other franchises; I could find nothing but enthusiasm for the business, the products and the franchiser.”

New franchisees undertake an extensive training course spanning a 13-week period, covering everything from marketing and sales to business management and kitchen design. Each franchisee has a BDM (Business Development Manager) assigned to them who oversees the showrooms progress and is always there for support and advice, visiting the showroom on a weekly basis to begin with.

The results of such intensive training can be found through the franchises extensive catalogue of Checkatrade reviews, averaging at an incredible 9.6 nationwide. With the vast majority of these independent customer testimonials scoring 9.9/10.0, it’s clear that the franchisor’s support and mentoring programme has built a network of consumer-focused franchisees who, put simply, don’t make mistakes.

Troy Tappenden, MD of Dream Doors ha this to say:

“I am incredibly proud of the leaps that the network continues to make as the years go on. We invest a great deal into efficient marketing and it seems that this focus has proven yet again to be incredibly beneficial for the franchise.”

With hundreds of new franchisee applicants every year, candidates must be heavily vetted and only those truly capable are recruited. But there are several opportunities for new franchisees in area nationwide, and some existing businesses for sale in Bolton, in Wakefield and in Essex. Interested parties should contact Dream Doors, or visit the company’s website to find out more.
