Mail Boxes Etc. recently attended The British and International Franchise Exhibition at Olympia where they spoke to people looking to change their careers and start a business for themselves. The team at MBE were pleased to meet so many people interested in changing their futures and starting an exciting new career with Mail Boxes Etc. MBE are looking to expand their franchise further, in the North of the UK and will be holding a Northern Discovery Day to give even more people the opportunity to find out about setting up a Mail Boxes Etc. store in the Northern territories.
The Northern Discovery Day on Friday 22nd April in Manchester offers another opportunity to find out more about the exciting Mail Boxes Etc. franchise package. Just a brief 2-3 hours packed with information, together with time to ask questions, speak to members of the team and also existing franchisees. To help with your plans, there will also be a representative from the banking world offering advice on finance options for your new venture! Attendees will leave with a great understanding of Mail Boxes Etc. and how this versatile and growing franchise opportunity could work for them!
Back at the exhibition in Olympia, visitors were given the opportunity to speak to existing franchisees and hear about both their successes and challenges. Shahram Bashiri and Arthur Kretov, both multiple store owners, took part in the Which Franchise Franchisee Panel to share their own stories.
Arthur Kretov has been involved with Mail Boxes Etc. since a young age and has progressed through the business to be the owner of 4 stores and counting! Forming a close relationship with the previous store owner, Arthur began to invest money and in 2011 the owner, Mel, left the store to Arthur in his will. Arthur has kept the store running successfully and his flagship store is now celebrating its 15th year in business!
Mail Boxes Etc. is one of the world’s largest non-food retail franchises with over 1,500 stores in five continents including over 150 in the UK and Ireland. They are the only high-street chain that offers consumers and local companies a truly comprehensive range of business services. Mail Boxes Etc.’s high street, one-stop-shop concept offers a mix of profit centres including well-known couriers, print & copy services and mailbox rental to help meet the everyday needs of its customers.
Shahram Bashiri is another of Mail Boxes Etc.’s success stories. He opened his first MBE. store in Clerkenwell in April 2011 and opened a further four stores in quick succession. Even with so many stores in operation, Shahram plans to build his business further and hopes to open at least another 5 stores. He is now enjoying the rewards of his hard work.
“I chose franchising rather than setting up a new business from scratch because I didn’t feel that I was in a position to start anything from scratch. I’m 47 and wanted something that would be more secure and offer me a proven business model. You have much more security and support with a franchise and having researched my options thoroughly, Mail Boxes Etc. just had everything I was looking for,” explains Shahram.
