Why I decided to join Rathbone Results

- To return to what energises me most: face to face client work, helping businesses, teams and individuals grow.

- To add greater value to clients by reconnecting expertise in strategy, leadership development and change management – to drive sustainable profitable growth.

- To have time for other interests including family at both ends of the life-cycle

The Training Process

After the five training days, I knew I fully understood the Rathbone Results methodology. It gave me confidence to use the Rathbone Results Model with clients, at a high level and in detail as the client situation requires. The training session was almost a master-class, full of case studies and practical examples that assured me of the pragmatism of the situational approach, the relevance of the material and the substance of the support that Jim and the wider Rathbone Results team would provide. I knew I was not venturing out alone – even though I most certainly was!

Rathbone Results Support

Right from the start, support kicked in, enabling me to be client facing and invoicing within 30 days of the training session. The breadth of support stretches from administrative help (setting up my email address, sorting out business cards and providing standard templates) to help in business development (proofing, refining and loading my website profile, using LinkedIn to run a lead generation campaign). The support has been greater than anticipated, accelerating my successful start as an independent consultant.

Where am I now and what am I looking forward to:

Having completed the training programme, I have:

- won and am growing four significant clients and contributing to the Board of one Charity,

- had initial meetings with three other prospects and presented proposals to two

- begun to create new content for the SME market to augment the “Enabling People” driver,

- replicated my salary as a full-time Partner in a leading global consultancy.

Not that I take any of the above for granted! I will launch a LinkedIn campaign in parallel with the telesales appointment booking process that is standard to new Rathbone Results Partners. I aim to be working with two additional SMEs and deepening my work with existing clients – whilst enjoying set-aside time on a weekly basis for family and friends!

In short, Rathbone Results has given me greater control over my time and my work.

I am energised and excited to be adding measurable value to clients in a hands-on manner and enjoying the privilege of flexibility that this new enterprise affords!
