Ian Hadley, Operations Manager, Minster Cleaning Services achieves BICSc Licensed Assessor (LBICSc) status

29 January 2019

The British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) is the largest independent, professional and educational body within the cleaning industry, with over 30,000 Individual and Corporate Members. Their aim is to raise the standards of education and build awareness of the cleaning industry through professional standards and accredited training. In our opinion BICSc operate the best industry standards available.

Ian undertook the Licensed Assessor Training at the BICSc Head Office in Northampton.  The training consisted of four days of learning followed by one day of assessments, where Ian was observed assessing candidates carrying out a number of tasks across many different areas of cleaning.

Ian says “I am delighted that I have achieved BICSc Licensed Assessor status. This will allow me to train our branch Supervisors and Area Managers and award them their Licence to Practice Accreditation plus additional skills from the BICSc Cleaning Professional’s Skills Suite. This knowledge will then be passed on to our on-site cleaning operatives to ensure best practice.”

“This accreditation also demonstrates Minster’s dedication to achieving consistently high cleaning standards across our entire network for existing and future customers.”

James Atkins, BICSc Verification Co-ordinator says “Ian’s experience and positive attitude helped him to achieve his Assessor qualification.  Ian is now keen to move forward training and assessing.”

The Minster Cleaning Services Head Office in Birmingham is now registered as a BICSc Accredited Training Organisation, so this will allow Ian to train and assess Minster staff onsite.  However, Ian’s “roaming” Assessor licence means that assessments can also be carried out across locations throughout the network, thereby saving time and minimising disruption to branch staff.
